Understanding Our Supply Chain
"How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is clearly Ocean," said Arthur C. Clarke. At Masarà, we share this love for our blue planet and strive to be responsible stewards of its precious resources.
Embracing Innovation, Embracing Change:
- We are proud members of the ECONYL® community, utilising their regenerated nylon yarn made from recycled ocean waste. This innovative process transforms ocean debris like fishing nets and old carpets into beautiful, high-quality fabrics, offering a sustainable future for fashion.
- Our partners, Carvico, provide Vita fabric, which meets the Oeko-Tex standard for safe textiles, ensuring the well-being of both you and the environment.
Locally Crafted, Globally Conscious:
- Lombardy, Italy is home to our dedicated local manufacturers, just a few kilometers from Milan. This reduces our carbon footprint and fosters the growth of our local economy.
- Regular visits to our suppliers allow for close collaboration and ensure the highest quality standards in our small-batch production.
Beyond the Fabric:
- We don't stop at sustainable materials. Alga Carta paper, made from recycled algae, is used for our tags, contributing to the restoration of endangered lagoon environments. This paper is also FSC® certified, ensuring responsible forestry practices.
- Minimalism is key in our packaging. We use FSC® certified paper, recyclable VELA paper bags, and water-activated paper tape. Even our fun stickers are made from recycled paper.
The Journey Continues:
- When you receive your Masarà garments, the journey doesn't end there. You can repurpose or recycle our packaging, ensuring its responsible end-of-life cycle.
'Together, we can make waves against waste and embrace a more sustainable future. Join Masarà on this journey! and embrace an eco conscious style that feels good from the inside out.'
